Under the direction of veteran documentary filmmaker Mary Elaine Evans, MFA students Sabrina Renkar and Jon Coy crewed up for a 10-day shooting trip in July tracing the remnants of Historic Route 66.  Armed with cameras, sound gear, and an RV affectionately nicknamed "Barnburner," the crew ate, drank, and breathed the life of the road as they filmed their way from St. Louis, Missouri to California's Mojave Desert.  The trio are collaborating on Evans' current film project, Don't Fence Me In, a documentary about the adventures of two young Ohio women who rode their horses from the Midwest to Pacific ocean in 1941.
