This semester's FILM 5010: Symposium will be held at the Athena on Sunday Nights at 7 PM. All are welcome.

The symposium will take the  form of public screenings called SERIES SEA HERE. Other than the obvious puns about the main engaged by the cinema, the title refers to the films in the series that will bring various seas here, to landlocked Athens (THE FORGOTTEN SPACE, AT SEA, and SHIP OF THESUS).  Two visiting artists will come to see us here, Jennifer Reeder and Sarah Kanouse. In addition there will be 2 films on Chile one the Sunday before spring break (March 2) (A film so new it hasn't been titled at the time of this writing) and one the Sunday after (March 23).  Dr. Louis-Georges Schwartz will introduce the films briefly and discuss the film with those registered for the symposium and anyone else who wants to stay.
