Just this past week, OU Film scored a major educational partnership with the Association of Independent Commercial Editors. AICE, as it’s known colloquially, is a marketing communications trade association whose members are independent creative editorial, design, visual effects, color grading and audio post production companies. It is dedicated to the advancement and promotion of these companies and the essential role their services play in the media creation process.
With member chapters in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Texas, and Toronto, AICE boasts countless members from such world-class editing companies as Rock Paper Scissors, Cut + Run, The Mill, Cutters and Final Cut. And it counts among its members, individuals who have edited works for the likes of Coldplay, DirecTV, Ford, Kohl’s, Levi’s, Adidas, Volvo, CVS, Google and Beats by Dre.
Now, as an Educational Partner of AICE, OU Film will be the beneficiary of many exciting opportunities. Most of all, as an Educational Partner with AICE, students from OU Film will have the opportunity to be placed in some of the most coveted internships at many of AICE’s member companies. By entering into a partnership with AICE, OU Film has made yet another invaluable connection to help its students both during their time here at Ohio University and in the many years to follow.
Known for its signature event, the AICE Awards, which highlights creative excellence among its member companies in a variety of content, media and craft categories, AICE and the work of its member companies represent a significant segment of the post-production marketplace for ad agencies and global advertisers, giving it a strong voice in the ongoing dialogue between agency creatives producers, clients, independent cost consultants and media distribution companies.
