Congratulations to Marc Moody (M.F.A. '99, Associate Professor, U.of Hawaii) for winning the University Film and Video Association First Place Award for his feature screenplay “Rumspringa.”  This is a major juried recognition, and Marc plans on teaming again with Ohio University Film Alumnus and producer Sharon Teo (M.F.A. '99, Associate Professor, U.Nebraska-Lincoln) to produce this movie.

Congratulations also to OU Film alumnus Joonhee Park (M.F.A. '02, Associate Professor, Wheaton College) for winning the Award of Merit for Messages to Eternity in the best documentary short category, another major juried award.

 OU Film Distinguished alumnus Diane Carson, (M.A. '81, Professor Emeritus, St. Louis Jr. College) was honored with the UFVA Life Achievement Award for her considerable service to the Association.

Aside from these award winners, more than a dozen OU alumni from all over the country participated in the conference. 

Next Year’s conference will be held  at the Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Nevada and hosted by the University of Nevada—Las Vegas.
