Cecil has been a movie lover since birth. In fact, it’s said that while attending the movie “The Lord of the Rings” in 1978, he was so emotionally engaged in one scene that he stood up in the middle of the theatre and started yelling with the character Boromir who was being shot with arrows in the chest by a band of Orcs. From that moment there was an inherent sense that storytelling would forever be a part of his life. After completing an MA in Photography from Ohio University’s School of Visual Communications in April 2016, Cecil knew it was time to complete his journey by entering the Ohio School of Film’s MFA program to secure his dream of filmmaking.
“I am excited every day to have the opportunity to work with such energetically creative people who have the same passion for storytelling as I do”.
